My modem is Prolink, Hurrican 8000 USB.
When I check with the vendor he says it can work on Linux but the driver is from third party, which I have downloaded.
when I check the system tools>>Network config, there is no modem detected, thus I am not able do anything. Apart from that can you please tell me how do I get output command lsusb, so that I can let you know.

Following is the link for the driver.

Thanks.
Mani.

You have to open a terminal (Application/System Tools) and give the command /sbin/lsusb.
Then post (copy and paste..) results of output

I don't see any selection for a command prompt in the Application/System tools. Is there any other ways...

Thanks
