Work is being done on GtkAssistants: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115348 I asked Owen about this, on IRC, the other day. He said that it won't be in GTK+ 2.4 - too much other new stuff, but is pretty certain for 2.6. I guess this means that the GNOME dependency could be around for 12 at least 12 months. Keith.
