Hi!
Adam pointed out that some of the installation 'Ad Banners' are not
very appropriate for Fedora to be shown to users [1] and Spot confirmed
in the bug that HAL one is just placeholder. So we have two options - to
remove at least HAL one (or maybe even the Beefy one) or try to create
new ones before the release (and we don't have much time...).

Another question is - and it's really up to Design and Marketing - do we
want to block on shipping a new banners/or removal of the inappropriate
ones (or even better - do Design/Marketing think it's an issue at all)?

I've already created Design Team ticket [2].

Ops, should be https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=974711

Thanks Ryan for headsup ;-)

Hi,
I've got a question about banners in Anaconda. I've noticed that no
banners are shown if you use a different localization (Czech in my
case). Is this intended behaviour? If so, is there any mechanism to
localize them so that they can be shown?
Showing nothing is not the best solution IMHO.

Well, I raised the same question in the ticket - I'd say it's an
intended behaviour - it's better to show nothing than mix of your
two languages. For F19 - it's too late to do anything with this, some
sort of automation in place would be needed to generate language
specific variants.

One possibility is to have at least some set of banners without
any text that has to be translated - but ad without text? Not sure.

so at the very least with this, we need to remove the HAL themed note, and remove beefy from the join fedora note?

does anyone know when this needs to be done by?

cheers,
