After reading the bug, I'm not sure if you still need the PNGs? IMHO the best solution at this point would be to put a PNG copy (you could even generate it at build time from one of the JPGs with e.g. ImageMagick) into the KSplash package. For others -- perhaps we should, starting with F14, use only PNGs for backgrounds, or at least do *not* change the format post beta? Regards, Martin
