Basically matroska [1] is IMHO another good option (it's in fedora
repos, is open both as in beer and bird, is not patent encumbered and
can contain literally anything) for the container (instead of
ogg/ogm/ogv) and we can add subtitles to it pretty easy (mkvmerge
usually does good job in that).
