Re: General Backup Icon Request

Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with using your existing mascot for an icon.  If you have the source images you may want to move the snake from the back to the front.

Might make an icon that is a little complex for scaling to 24x24...

Give me a couple days, I'll see what I can come up with.

Hi,

I was pointed at the DesignService wiki page by Rahul Sundaram on my
review request [0] but the page doesn't seem to be editable so I'm
mailing this list. My apologies if I've emailed against this list's
etiquette/purpose.

I've looked far and wide for an icon that generally represents the
concept of backing up files and I've failed to find one. I would be very
grateful if somebody could create one that I could package with my
backup program, pybackpack (and that others could use also).

The only image I can think of is a picture of a folder with a sort of
"ghost" folder offset from it, representing it being copied. There are
probably better ideas to be thunk up, though.

As an aside, I'm also looking for a new logo/emblem/mascot for my
program [1], preferably one without a snake in it :) If anyone is
interested, I'd love to hear your ideas.

Thank you for your time
