I have got two production systems with ext3 v2.2.19 basically just being an MTA and web-based email interface (ala Yahoo/Hotmail). I am getting (not really constant) hangs on the system. It just seems to stop working -- logging into the console just times out; pressing the "Enter" key works but everything else fail even Ctrl-Alt-Del does not respond. The servers arent't under very heavy load (load average doesn't really bite into swap too much - maybe hovering at 1.x something; topping out at 2.x - 3.x at most during office peak hours). Any other information required ? Anyone care to share on whether they have got 2.2.19ext3 servers under heavy load without any stability problems (I can tolerate a performance hit). Thanks!
