Agree, that is exactly the expected behavior if you don't use the
necessary mesa patch.
Please make sure you actually installed mesa into the correct path etc....

Thanks a lot to both of you for your quick reply and the hints. I
haven't had the chance yet to have another look due to lack of time.
I'll give it another try during the weekend, trying to make sure that
the patched mesa is actually used.
