From: Sam Ravnborg <sam@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Some older SPARC CPUs had support for only 7 register windows. To support this run-time patching was used. LEON demand 8 register windows for use with Linux so there is no need to support the 7 window configuration. The complexity of the assembler code is reduced when dropping the run-time patching, thus increasing the maintainability.
