i5-6500 on an Asus Z170M-PLUS. GPU is an R9 290:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI]
Hawaii PRO [Radeon R9 290/390]

OS is Debian buster, but with bits of testing and unstable (mostly just kernel
and Mesa). I did update to the Debian 5.3 kernel earlier today, after several
weeks of stable running on 5.2.

ii firmware-amd-graphics 20190717-2 all Binary
firmware for AMD/ATI graphics chips
ii linux-image-5.3.0-2-amd64 5.3.9-1 amd64 Linux
5.3 for 64-bit PCs (signed)
ii libgl1-mesa-dri:amd64 19.2.1-1 amd64 free
implementation of the OpenGL API -- DRI modules
ii xserver-xorg-video-amdgpu 19.1.0-1 amd64 X.Org X
server -- AMDGPU display driver

I don't think I can reliably reproduce it here either (my weapon of choice is
modded Minecraft).
