The patch ASoC: rockchip-max98090: Support usage with and without HDMI has been applied to the asoc tree at https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound.git for-5.5 All being well this means that it will be integrated into the linux-next tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if problems are discovered then the patch may be dropped or reverted. Use the presence of rockchip,audio-codec and rockchip,hdmi-codec to specify the use case. Use max98090 only : specify rockchip,audio-codec. Use HDMI only: specify rockchip,hdmi-codec. Use both max98090 and HDMI: specify rockchip,audio-codec and rockchip,hdmi-codec. Move these properties to optional because they are not needed for HDMI-only use case.
