Confirming the posted X driver workaround fixes it on 2700U. Debian 5.2.* kernels and vanilla 5.3.1 work perfectly now. Anyway, the latest X driver from git is broken as well. Should the issue be reported there, or is it better to fix it in kernel layer? Thanks again, -mk
