1) it's all audio, and is sped up and choppy. It's not just the pitch (took me
a bit to realize).

2) Yes.

3) any audio is sped up, no additional sounds.

I've found that manually setting with cvt and xrandr modeline doesn't have the
issue, but the refresh rate is also 59.976, not 60.0.
