LUKS 1.X - Wiping header vs wiping keyslots

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello.

Suppose you want to deny access to your LUKS v1.x encrypted p0rn stash.
Are there any security implications or drawbacks for just wiping all
active LUKS keyslots (i.e. by running luksKillSlot on every index), but
leaving the header present on disk as opposed to just overwriting the
entire header with random data?
