Encrypted swap: reding key from /dev/urandom fails

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I just tried to move my fileserver from no swap to encrypted swap.
Sadly, reading the key from /dev/urandom failed for reasons
I do not understand:

~# cryptsetup -s 64 --key-file=/dev/urandom create swap0 /dev/sda3
Command failed: device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Invalid argument
~# cryptsetup --version
cryptsetup 1.0.7

Inputing the key manually works. Is this a known problem with
1.0.7? Kernel was 2.6.30.7
