All, I've just been doing some experimenting with the dmsetup command; I have a small file attached via loopback and have run a number of variants of the following: echo '0 32768 crypt <cipher-mode> 0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef 0 /dev/loop0 0' | dmsetup create dmtest If I use "serpent-lrw-benbi" or "serpent-xts-benbi" everything works fine but when I try "twofish-lrw-benbi" or "twofish-xts-benbi" or a number of other twofish-* combinations it fails with: device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Invalid argument Command failed cat'ing /proc/crypto shows entries for lrw(serpent), xts(serpent) as well as lrw(twofish) and xts(twofish). Why is it that I can't seem to combine twofish with either xts or lrw? What are the valid combinations for cipher-mode and is there a way to get a canonical list out of the system? --------------------------------------------------------------------- dm-crypt mailing list - http://www.saout.de/misc/dm-crypt/ To unsubscribe, e-mail: dm-crypt-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxx For additional commands, e-mail: dm-crypt-help@xxxxxxxx
