Because I have to boot a LOT of times in the next day - I decided to add a simpler passphrase temporarily. In order to test how that works, I added one - then deleted it again and then added it again: $ sudo cryptsetup luksAddKey /dev/sdd1 Enter any LUKS passphrase: key slot 0 unlocked. Enter new passphrase for key slot: Verify passphrase: Command successful. $ sudo cryptsetup luksDelKey /dev/sdd1 1 Enter any remaining LUKS passphrase: key slot 0 unlocked. Command successful. $ sudo cryptsetup luksAddKey /dev/sdd1 Enter any LUKS passphrase: key slot 0 unlocked. Enter new passphrase for key slot: Verify passphrase: Failed to setup dm-crypt key mapping. Check kernel for support for the aes-cbc-essiv:sha256 cipher spec and verify that /dev/sdd1 contains at least 261 sectors. Failed to write to key storage. Command failed. It seems VERY weird that the second time the command failed?! Is this a bug? I hope nothing got screwed up :/ -- Carlo Wood <carlo@xxxxxxxxxx> --------------------------------------------------------------------- dm-crypt mailing list - http://www.saout.de/misc/dm-crypt/ To unsubscribe, e-mail: dm-crypt-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxx For additional commands, e-mail: dm-crypt-help@xxxxxxxx
