Neither does Knoppix :/, but as far as Ubuntu is concerned, isn't it
possible to apt-get install cryptsetup quickly into ram on a ubuntu
live cd session? If not, this might work for Knoppix.

Debian-installer has support for cryptsetup, although I have not used
it. For minor rescue activities, it might be sufficient to just boot of
a debian installer CD and switch to a terminal.
