recover luks partition

Hi,

I guess I already know the answer - but is there any way to recover a
luks parition?
Cryptsetup refuse to map the partition on luksOpen with "is not a LUKS
partition".

It's a logical volume which I accidentally removed. Via a metadata
backup made
before the "lvremove" command I recovered the lost logical volume.

Although there were no other write operation on the physical disks it
seems now that
the first ~ 5000 bytes on this lv are now set to zero.

Anyone has a clue if this is recoverable?

Andreas
