that would be great. please try it with encrypted swap file, with
encrypted swap partition, and also with an unencrypted swap
file/partition.

i've 512MB of RAM, and the file had 1GB Swap.
The system didn't respond after 10 to 30 seconds.

It's not a conventional crash, but more a freeze. X freezes completely
if you run the script in a X terminal. If you run it on a virtual
console, the console doesn't respond while keyboard action (typing) is
still printed on the screen.
The only way to get out of this situation is the reset/power button.
