When I said it didn't work, I was referring to not being able to convincingly avoid these lints without disabling the check altogether. Let's see what Miguel thinks. I agree that the options are: extension trait + stubs/reexports + suppressing `incompatible_msrv` or just dropping the last patch until MSRV bump.
