Sorry for replying late, I have been waiting for the vendor to make their mailbox document public, but they haven't done it yet.

Are you sure the 8051 use the same mailbox layout?
IIRC, only the small core use this mailbox.

Yes, I am sure of this, and cv18xx SoCs and sg200x SoCs share the same mailbox IP
