Otherwise you risk seeing garbage at panel start - it starts displaying uninitialized data. Usually sequence looks like: A. Power on DSI host B. Initialize panel (prepare callback) C. Start video transmission from the host to the panel D. wait about 120ms, then unblank panel (enable callback) Of course this is only my experience, maybe your panel is different.
