Any reason to choose EAGAIN instead of ETIMEDOUT? Well, the API
above will return ETIMEDOUT so if you just propagate the error

I think this prepare_enable is unbalanced. It looks like you
should unprepare_disable before exiting the probe(). That would
make the enable/disable in prepare/unprepare make sense.

This one is fine.

This makes no sense. The idea about this generic and specific
compatible strings is to leave the door open for future quirks
or different implementations for slightly different hardware.

So, you currently will use a devicetree like this:

  flash@addr {
    compatible = "hisilicon,hi3519-sfc", "hisilicon,hisi-sfc";
  };

And the driver currently need only match "hisilicon,hisi-sfc",
since you it doesn't currently distinguish between specific SoCs.

In the future, let's imagine that you find an errata in some hypothetical
SoC hi3520. In that case, you can add a new compatible to your binding
so your devicetree will look like:

  flash@addr {
    compatible = "hisilicon,hi3520-sfc", "hisilicon,hisi-sfc";
  };

And the driver will somehow distinguish betwen the two compatibles
and apply a quirk on the new one.

Does it make sense?
