Hello, Much of today's meeting revolved around release and distro items: - quincy 17.2.1 RC is built - missing approvals for rados, orch and upgrade suites - gibba cluster to be upgraded first, as it's already on quincy - LRC cluster to follow - next release: octopus 15.2.17 or pacific 16.2.10? - originally planned a small 16.2.10 to fix the PG log dups memory usage issue but it's still being discussed (online vs offline mitigation, etc) - for now Yuri is proceeding with gathering PRs for 15.2.17 - with octopus going EOL in a few weeks, will there be any release supporting centos 7 clients? (David) - for the RBD hypervisor use case in particular -- having to distro-upgrade hypervisor nodes is a pain - need to start backporting release notes PRs (Zac) - as it is, depending on how the user lands on the docs page, they may end up with an obsolete release list - e.g. https://docs.ceph.com/en/quincy/releases/pacific/ (16.2.7) vs https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/releases/pacific/ (16.2.9) - opensuse builds have been failing for a while (Nathan, Tim) - a number of jenkins builders are dedicated to opensuse, is that still useful or can they be freed up? - centos 9 stream / rhel 9 - (slowly) ongoing effort by Justin and Ken - Ken's repo: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ceph/el9/ - someone on ceph-users also had success with Kaleb's build: https://cbs.centos.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=39161 - move remaining services off OVH - mostly for cost reasons - chacra the most expensive but it has a 10T volume which is challenging as some of our hardware is out of warranty - at least a few months away, pending chacra containerization Thanks, Ilya _______________________________________________ Dev mailing list -- dev@xxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to dev-leave@xxxxxxx
