What exact version of Ceph are you using?
rgw-api-host and rgw-api-port are deprecated in most recent versions.
Can you provide MGR logs? If you deployed with cephadm, can you provide the cephadm logs?

I have 3 rgw services behind HAProxy. rgw-api-host and rgw-api-port are set properly
to the VIP and port. "curl http://<vip>:<port>" works fine. But dashboard complains
that it can't find rgw service on that vip:port. If I set rgw-api-host directly to the node,
it also works fine. I ran tcpdump on the active mgr node, I don't see any traffic going
out to that VIP at all. Am I missing anything here? Does dashboard need to resolve
the rgw-api-host with some name?
