It's configurable. See the fine mutt documentation. set smtp_authenticators="GSSAPI:NTLM" set smtp_url=smtp://USER@xxxxxxxxxxxx:587/ So if mutt implements OAuth, it can use it directly. Maybe you should switch to that MUA? :-)
