Hi, I have applied the 2.4.8 kernel patch, as advertised on this list, to use the crypto-api on my linux machine. I couldn't get the standard distribution to work, so I had to rely on the patch; but it works great. My only question is: How do you use the Digest-MD-5 and the Digest-SHA1 functions? I built them into the kernel, and they report registration on boot, but how do I actually use them? I know how to use the md5sum and sha1sum utilities that come with Suse, but what trick is there to using the cryptoapi versions built into a kernel?
