problem with crypto and 2.4.21

Hi,

I read there are people here that are running 2.4.21 with crypto
support. I've been trying, but with no success.
So far, what I've done is this:
applied the patch-int-2.4.21.0 and the loop-jari-2.4.21.0.patch.
Configured the kernel, build everything inside the first time.
Second time I made modules (cryptoloop, loop, ciphers,...).
Nothing works though.
Without modules I get ioctl: LOOP_SET_STATUS: Invalid argument when
doing losetup -e aes /dev/loop0 $home/cryptofile.

With the other kernel with modules, the modules won't even load when I
insmod them:

# insmod cryptoloop
Using /lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/crypto/drivers/cryptoloop.o
/lib/modules/2.4.21/kernel/crypto/drivers/cryptoloop.o: unresolved
symbol find_transform_by_name_R94d0ebe8

Any help on this would be appreciated.
