Dear All, I have just switched to a new distro and wish to set up the same encrypted root fs I had with Debian. I am getting the following error when booting: VFS: Mounted root (minix fs) readonly Mounted /devfs on /dev Freeing unsued kernel memory: 136k freed kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k ext2 errno=2 Mounting /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 as /lib failed My relevant details are: SuSE Linux 8.2 Kernel 2.4.21 (have not tried other kernels with this distro) loop-AES 1.7d Grub, devfs, /boot on hda1, / on hda2 BOOTDEV=/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 BOOTTYPE=ext2 CRYPTROOT=/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2 ROOTTYPE=reiserfs CIPHERTYPE=AES128 USEPIVOT=1 INITRDONLY=0 SOURCEROOT= DESTINATIONROOT= DESTINATIONPREFIX=/boot INITRDGZNAME=initrd.gz USEDEVFS=1 My root fs mounts ok from my rescue partition. I never encountered these problems last time around. Any help (or insults if I've missed something basic) gratefully received.
