I have deleted a loop-AES encrypted root partition by entering this command: mkfs.ext2 /dev/hda6 Afterwards all I typed was: mount /dev/hda6 /mnt ls /mnt ls /mnt/lost+found umount /mnt I haven't written any data on the partition.
