You should at least check if mces are enabled.

My vague recollection is that the box locks up regardless, but I could
be misremembering.
IIRC the magic formula is now 0f68 processor + (correctable) MCE event + HT + cpufreq change. That's why the heavy load test triggers this ~ 3 hours.
