cpuspeed failure report, as advised by kernel messages

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

Strangely, the frequency scaling does not work on my Intel Core 2 Duo
machine, Asus P5Q motherboard. System is running Fedora 10, kernel
updated to 2.6.27.15-170.2.24.fc10.i686.PAE (but the same happens with
older 2.6.27.12-170.2.5.fc10.i686.PAE).

/etc/init.d/cpuspeed gives following
messages:

p4-clockmod: Warning: EST-capable CPU detected. The acpi-cpufreq module offers voltage scaling in addition of frequency scaling. You should use that instead of p4-clockmod, if possible.
p4-clockmod: Unknown p4-clockmod-capable CPU. Please send an e-mail to <cpufreq@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
p4-clockmod: Warning: EST-capable CPU detected.

Below, I include two outputs: /proc/cpuinfo and dmesg.

regards,
Michal Szymanski.
