Philipp,

hi,

thank you!

sbd - shared-storage based fencing
regarding https://github.com/l-mb/sbd, at the end it says it should work
with corosync 2.3.x

so libcoroipcc library isn't provided any longer? any disadvantages

No it isn't provided.

running pacemaker 1.1.12 with corosync 1.4.x?

One disadvantage may be need to use cman for quorum. But generally no big disadvantages. Corosync 1.4.x will be supported for next few years (but don't expect any new features).

or is it better to run 2.3.x and leave sbd?

Please file a bug for sbd (in any case). Then just think about if you really need storage based fencing. And do you need fencing at all? Do you have resources to use power fencing (which is recommended anyway), so if you are runing VM, just use power fencing. If your server has IPMI/iLo/... use power fencing, ...

Regards,
  Honza

regards
Philipp
