Below is an excerpt from RH knowledgebase article: DOC-69758

"A product we use requires shared storage and GFS is recommended by our vendor. They say: "Please note that GFS2 have unresolvable performance issue with EMS." Are you aware of any performance problems possible with GFS2 and Tibco EMS?"

Resolution section states: "Red Hat believe that GFS2 is suitable to use with Tibco EMS application."

"At a discussion between Red Hat Resilient Storage developers and Tibco, a verbal agreement was reached that GFS2 is suitable for Tibco EMS applications going forward."

I have RHCS running with EMS+GFS2 and so far no issues.

That being said, I've read about TIBCO's recommendation to avoid GFS2.

Can you elaborate on "issues" you had with EMS/GFS2 configuration?

I'd be very interested to know what has not worked for you. Please open
a ticket with our support team if you are a Red Hat customer. We are
keen to ensure that people don't run into such issues, but we'll need a
bit more information in order to investigate,

Steve.
