Hi Ajarbou > Hi, > In the RH AS 2.1 cluster and RHCS3's documentation there is a sections about > the raw devices and the syslog configuration, but there is not any related > information in RHCS4. > My questions are: > 1- Is it necessary to configure and start the rawdevices? <Taken from Red Hat KB> Red Hat Cluster Suite (RHCS), as of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, no longer requires a quorum partition. The configuration file is kept in /etc/cluster/cluster.conf. Every time a change is made to the configuration using system-config-cluster, the "Send to Cluster" button next to the filename should be selected. This will propagate the changes across the cluster. Note: CCSD is the daemon that handles the propagation of the configuration file across the cluster. </Taken from Red Hat KB> > 2- How to pull the cluster error log to /var/log/cluster? > > Note: I am running RHEL AS4 update2, and I've tried to edit the > /etc/syslog.conf as follow (but without succeed): > > ###vi /etc/syslog.conf > > > --------------------------------------------------------------- > # Log all kernel messages to the console. > # Logging much else clutters up the screen. > #kern.* /dev/console > > # Log anything (except mail) of level info or higher. > # Don't log private authentication messages! > *.info;mail.none;news.none;authpriv.none;cron.none;local4.none > /var/log/messages > > # The authpriv file has restricted access. > authpriv.* /var/log/secure > > # Log all the mail messages in one place. > mail.* -/var/log/maillog > > > # Log cron stuff > cron.* /var/log/cron > > # Everybody gets emergency messages > *.emerg * > > # Save news errors of level crit and higher in a special file. > uucp, news.crit /var/log/spooler > > # Save boot messages also to boot.log > local7.* /var/log/boot.log > > # > # INN > # > news.=crit /var/log/news/news.crit > news.=err /var/log/news/news.err > news.notice /var/log/news/news.notice > > # > local4.* /var/log/cluster > ---------------------------------------------------- > > > Regards, > Ajarbou > > > > > "Disclaimer by McAfee Web Shield e1000 Appliance" > > This Outgoing Email has been scanned by King Abdul Aziz University SMTP Gateway Antivirus > > -- > > Linux-cluster@xxxxxxxxxx > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-cluster -- Linux-cluster@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-cluster
