I've played with these settings and didn't notice any benefit.
Tools for changing sector size on HDDs are pretty terrible and it's
really easy to brick your HDD when using incorrectly.
I wouldn't recommend.

this seems to produce output similar to the previously used tool
sg_format --format --size=4096 /dev/sdd
Anyone have experience with this? This is first time the drives are already in the nodes, so I don't have a power cycle on them.
