Hi,

I’m using 15.2.10. Global sync you mean complete site mirror is working only?

We’ve tried to made it work like half year or even more, the guy who should have made it work even layed off :/ Just want to know should I spend more time on this or wait for something?

Hi,

I've just got the chance to have a look again and triple (or more) check the config. (I have 3 zones but for this use case only 2 needed to be used).

Followed your suggestions but it errored with:
WARNING: cannot find source zone id for name=*
WARNING: cannot find source zone id for name=*

Steps:
radosgw-admin sync group create --group-id=general-symmetrical-hkg-sin-sync-group --status=allowed
radosgw-admin sync group flow create --group-id=general-symmetrical-hkg-sin-sync-group --flow-id=general-symmetrical-hkg-sin-sync-group-flow --flow-type=symmetrical --zones=hkg,sin
radosgw-admin sync group pipe create --group-id=general-symmetrical-hkg-sin-sync-group --pipe-id=symmetrical-hkg-sin --source-zones='*' --source-bucket='*' --dest-zones='*' --dest-bucket='*'
radosgw-admin period update --rgw-realm=company --commit

Now the bucket part will come which will inherit the symmetrical-hkg-sin pipe:
radosgw-admin sync group create --bucket=mlflow-artifacts-bucket --group-id=mlflow-artifacts-bucket-default --status=enabled

And here is the above error with a huge dump came:
radosgw-admin sync group pipe create --bucket=mlflow-artifacts-bucket --group-id=mlflow-artifacts-bucket-default --pipe-id=symmetrical-hkg-sin --source-zones='*' --dest-zones='*'

It doesn't even see this group that has been created:
radosgw-admin sync group get --group-id=mlflow-artifacts-bucket-default
ERROR: could not find group 'mlflow-artifacts-bucket-default'

Yes. This seems to be regression on the latest master. This feature had definitely worked couple of months back.. (testcases were under review [1]). Now only the global sync policy works as expected. Bucket level sync policy groups are not updated correctly.

Thanks,

Soumya
