switching to ceph-volume requires changing the default lvm.conf?

I was wondering if switching to ceph-volume requires me to change the
default centos lvm.conf? Eg. The default has issue_discards = 0

Also I wonder if trimming is the default on lvm's on ssds? I read
somewhere that the dmcrypt passthrough of trimming was still secure in
combination with a btrfs filesystem.
