Inefficient because of multiplying the local cache efforts or because too much clients stress the MDS? I thought it would be more efficient to run multiple clients (in userspace) that interact in parallel with the Ceph cluster. Instead of having only one mounted filesystem (kernel or FUSE) where all the data passes through.
