Ceph and intels new scalable Xeons - replacement for E5-1650v4

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello list,

in the past we used the E5-1650v4 for our SSD based ceph nodes which
worked fine.

The new xeon generation doesn't seem to have a replacement. The only one
which is still 0.2Ghz slower is the Intel Xeon Gold 6128. But the price
is 3 times as high.

So the question is is there any benefit of the new Xeon generation for
ceph or is it better to stay with the E5-1650v4?

Greets,
Stefan
