Since it relies on kernel LIO and the tcmu-runner userspace daemon, it's essentially a separate project but that PR updates the Ceph documentation for describe how to configure it. We (Ceph) do plan to provide RPMs/DEBs for the ceph-iscsi-config/tools/cli repositories as well as integrate its configuration within ceph-ansible.
