CACHEMODE_READFORWARD doesn't try proxy write?

Hi,

I’m just looking through

http://xo4t.mj.am/link/xo4t/q9h44wq/1/gw23bkHPCTazAoI6oRL_ng/aHR0cHM6Ly9naXRodWIuY29tL2NlcGgvY2VwaC9ibG9iL2VmMmZlYzc4NDQwYTUyMjcyMmFkMDAzZjAzOTliY2ZlYzI4MDg0MTYvc3JjL29zZC9SZXBsaWNhdGVkUEcuY2M#L2192

And from what I can see if you set the cachemode to CACHEMODE_READFORWARD, proxy writes will not be used. Am I reading the code correct and is that the desired behaviour? I would have thought you would still expect proxy writes to occur but just disable the promotion of reads? I believe this is also the case for CACHEMODE_READPROXY.

Thanks,

Nick
