Bug noted and libvirt maintainer on the server team poked accordingly.
Things are a little frenetic this week with the 15.04 release going
out tomorrow but I got a 'i can get to it after some plates stop
spinning ;)'.

Nice spot - and this is not the first time I've seen a bug due to
incorrect specification of the stripe size for rbd images.
