Negative degraded objects

Hi all,

I am working on a cluster that had a disk fill up. We've attempted to balance and recover, but we're seeing a strange negative number in the degraded objects (see below). Is this within design? Or is this a bug? Additionally, is there anyway to recover from this negative state?

     osdmap e1340: 8 osds: 8 up, 8 in
      pgmap v596645: 1024 pgs, 2 pools, 729 GB data, 130 kobjects
            1460 GB used, 28324 GB / 29785 GB avail
            -15/267604 objects degraded (-0.006%)
                   6 stale+active+clean
                   1 active
                 880 active+clean
                 137 active+remapped
