Hi Guys I am using ceph in version 0.72 on RHEL 6.5 with four nodes (three of them are mons) with six osds each with 300GB. Every ceph server has four 1GB-Interfaces configured as follows: 1 GB Interface for maintenance (installing, ssh access and so on), 1 GB Interface for client access (filer network) and 1 GB interface for Ceph-Intraconnect. Hardware is HP DL 380 G7. Somehow rados bench tells me I do have a bandwidth performance at about 110 MB/sec (on hardware-client) or 220 MB/sec (from a virtual server connected with 10Gbit on its host). On the same virtual host I can Upload via S3 Gateway (see on the bottom) with 60MB/sec. I'd prefer librados with a java-Client but sadly its performance is low: * "rados -p pool put infile outfile" on VM: 24MB/sec * "rados -p pool put infile outfile" on hardware: 28MB/sec * librados java client on hardware: 34MB/sec * s3gateway on VM: 60MB/sec * rados bench with 110MB/sec So could anybody tell me how I could increase speed for librados?
