My distribution is still in 2.6 series so I won't be upgrading the kernel anytime soon. Does ceph source code have the ability to choose the kernel headers and build the module against that?

I suppose I can manage the dependencies for building ceph.

Does the ceph source code also have the ceph kernel module?

Is what you need to compile ceph from sources. Are you also trying to build the dependencies such as python etc. ?

Cheers
