[Big Problem?] Why not using Device'UUID in ceph.conf

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all

I have 3 OSDs, named sdb, sdc, sdd.
Suppose, one OSD with device /dev/sdc die => My server have only sdb, sdc at the moment.
Because device /dev/sdc replaced by /dev/sdd

I have the following configuration:
............
[osd.0]
host = data-01
devs = /dev/sdb1
[osd.1]
host = data-01
devs = /dev/sdc1
[osd.2]
host = data-02
devs = /dev/sdd1
..............
when rebooting server (or restart ceph service). I think osd (with /dev/sdd1) will be error.
Everone, Why not using Device'UUID in ceph.conf? ( Configure into /etc/fstab)
and with larger Storage enviroment will a bigest proplem????

Thanks all!
