There are no SPOFs in ceph. Except for the fact that a ceph cluster
likes to reside in one close geographic region.
You build as many OSD's as you see fit.
You build at least 3 MON's.
You create a CRUSH map that depicts your failure domains, so ceph can
deal with data relocation and build a redundancy topology according to
your physical failure domains.
If you want to go for MDS, you start multiple MDS instances, with active
/ passive failover.
