I did this today: http://tracker.ceph.com/projects/messengers It's pretty simple right now with just 3 categories (Async/Simple/ProtocolV2), and I didn't add any queries or the "components" that have become useful in RADOS and CephFS. Let me know if you need help adding any more pieces to it! :) Do we need to adjust the backport handling or anything to account for this? -Greg
